Community Engagement and Endowed Center Manager

Job Description Summary:

The Community Engagement and Endowed Center Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that foster meaningful partnerships between the College of Education and external stakeholders. Additionally, this role will coordinate activities and provide support for the college’s endowed centers, ensuring their alignment with the college’s mission and strategic goals.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in partnership development, community engagement, or education workforce development.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing partnerships across education and workforce sectors.
  • Knowledge of fundraising and grant-writing processes.
  • Experience working with K-12 school districts, higher education institutions, or workforce development programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and event planning.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, data tracking, and reporting to measure outreach effectiveness.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within higher education or nonprofit organizations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Experience in higher education is preferred.
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Familiarity with the La Verne community and surrounding areas.


Specific Duties:
Duty: Community Engagement Strategy Development

  • Design and execute comprehensive community engagement strategies that align with the college’s mission.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with local schools, educational organizations, and community partners.

  • Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and forums to promote the college’s initiatives.

Percentage of Time: 40%

Duty: Endowed Center Coordination
  • Coordinate activities and programs of the college’s endowed centers, ensuring they meet their objectives.

  • Assist in the development and management of budgets for endowed centers.

  • Facilitate communication between endowed centers and external partners.

Percentage of Time: 40%

Duty: Program Development and Support
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate community engagement into academic programs and research projects.

  • Support fundraising and grant-writing efforts to sustain and expand endowed center initiatives.

Percentage of Time: 10%

Duty: Administrative Duties and Other Duties as Assigned
  • Manage scheduling, logistics, and communications related to community engagement activities.

  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

  • Provide administrative support to the Dean and other college leadership as needed.

Percentage of Time: 10%

Salary Range
Maximum:
$71,694
Minimum: $68,640
